This week I had an allergic reaction to something that made it very difficult to breathe. I ended up having to take a lot of Benedryl and not really getting much done. 🙁 I finished out a week of cycling with 77 miles put in and a lot of gardening however, so that was okay. I signed up for a race in September. I’m putting together a meal plan and bought a dorm fridge to keep my meal prep in. It has been too rainy and cold for morning cat yoga this week.
There was a famous diet doctor twelve years ago who kept promoting seed oils. I told him that when SHTF I would build a factory, access a store of Hexane, and start the purification process for seed oil and eschew the natural forms of fat all around me that were “unhealthy” (he did not find this funny….what was his name again? He sure did sink into obscurity along with that vegan dietitian he worked with for a bit who had the bad anorexia….) — he maintained seed oils were definitely heart healthy. It’s not oil anyway with most heart disease, it’s a false dichotomy, “Is it seed oil or is it animal fat?” It’s the phosphate they use to preserve meat and a few other things and they’ve known that: THE ENTIRE TIME. Go look that up, you’ll see the phosphate moves calcium into arteries and hardens them.
I’m going to do a run to support Veterans and the armed forces in Tacoma in September. It’s very personal to me and I’m running it for Dad.
My weight is wildly out of control though so am going to start meal prepping and doing DASH along with a lot of exercise. I’m pretty sedate. I can write all day everyday or art. I have that kinda of gene for that. Clean house, not so much. Have a good week.
