Last week we were all mostly house bound because of an ice storm that closed most traffic and roads. We lost power overnight but it wasn’t too bad. I recalled I had YakTrax so was able to go outside for a walk day 4 or 5 because by then I was a little stir crazy.
I have discovered that my health issues are directly tied to my gallbladder and inability to digest fat. No fat = feel a lot better, but I start craving it like mad, fat that is. Then I eat some and the wheels come off.
So the neighbors hooked on to the Tioga with a muscle car and dragged it over to the Guard House and left it. The end of an era. The woman who had been attempting to live in it was picked up on warrants and relocated to jail. She was 55. She really tried to make that old thing a home, and now it’s sitting waiting.
I still really like the fence.
I think I feel a change coming over the country. I hope this year is going to be better – but maybe that’s famous last words.
