Trash Mountain #4 was built and then set on fire today.

This one was really outstanding, they had milled building lumber and old trash piled over 10ft tall, and this time avoided the state park it was technically in the backyard although it didn’t stay in it… He set it on fire and left…and I was filming it burning when very rapidly it went out of control. He came out and started yelling, and asked if I had a hose, so I grabbed my hose, but he had no faucet to hook it up to, yeah he set a 10ft bonfire beside an Oregon Forest with no water hookup handy. So he’s trying to move some of the crap on fire, plastic tarps etc., and he finds a hose but throws it to me…I can’t do anything on account — yeah like I told him — I don’t have a faucet tap on that side of my home. I told him, fire department is in route, I called it in 9-1-1, so then he gets mad and tells me that jokes on me, they won’t do anything. He has full permission to be burning lumber scrap and trash (I knew that was uh’ impossible but okay). “You’ve wasted your time! You wait, you’ve wasted your time! I put up metal sheeting around it so it was fine!” (as it burns wildly…) Well, fire truck shows up and the roll out the hose and they do put out the fire. I’m kinda stressed out.

There are two sides to every story…but this shit doesn’t make sense to me. We had burning embers coming all the way over to my shop because of wind direction.

Mother’s Day

I ran a 10k race in Longbeach. I don’t have one single photo from that event actually. Although if the sponsor of the race posts photos I’ll try to come back and add one. It was incredibly hot, even at 8am and very difficult. I hadn’t run in a long time and my mile time was at 16:30 per mile, I’m also really fat so that doesn’t help. I had the all clear on my ankle, but sure he didn’t realize I intended to run 6 miles on it. It’s arthritic but the ball part of the joint is intact just ‘mineralized’ hmm.
