This week I finished the 18 Vivillon challenge through Pokemon Go. An endangered sperm whale washed up by the shipwreck at Iredale — one of many whales washing up on shores last week for unknown reasons… — I started a tray of tomato plants inside and installed a grow light in the shop to take care of them if they sprout — and my new Macintosh computer arrived. And EGGS.

Most people were stymied to try and achieve the Ocean Vivillon which was mostly to be found in Hawaii. (via Reddit) Thanks to Papa Rasta, I obtained the final postcard required and finished my Vivillon hunt! (i.e. Scatterbug)
Quick, loot this whale!

Poor whale, a 20ft long juvenile endangered sperm whale. They were quick on the draw to get the teeth and ambergris — for research of course. *wink* This kept the beach very busy as it made national news and everyone local showed up to see for themselves.

One tray is tomatoes, the other herbs and flowers. In a warm indoor spot until germination is acheived then they’ll go under the grow light outside in the shop.

Mars Hydro Grow Light

I guess I bought a grow light commonly used for uh…certain plants that fetch a higher price then my tomatoes. Seems to be a good one though. I bought this in 2019 and just now hooked it up. I figured there would be global shortages and growing my own food would be in the future… but uh….well, I finally got around to it. “Had this been a real emergency, you would be dead.” It’s not like I can grow enough produce to survive anyway. Meh.

The cat scoping out a good spot for the new Macintosh

Next week I’ll be at my art desk on the mac. woot. After being so ill, I thought maybe my backup plan should be to write / work at my desk again and maybe let some of the other stuff go.

Health: I had a sinus infection, ear infection, bladder infection, GI infection…and uh yeah, it’s all inflammation you know, it’s all bullshit. I passed the rest of the blockage which was phenomenally odd and full of blood. It hurt quite a lot afterwards, sharp terrible pains and I ran a fever, but it has generally improved. Everything seems less inflamed today and infections are receding, my mind is a little sharper.

If I didn’t have the worlds very best family – fun, funny, supportive, and lacking drama, I thought a couple of times this week — f-this. I’m not going to be running a single step. I’m done. I’m just going to cash in, I can’t do this anymore.

I have been eating vegetarian and mostly starch. Last night I had a sweet potato chili over cornbread for instance, and lunch today was baked potato with cottage cheese. I eat light, I eat what I can digest pretty much.

But yeah, I am tired of being sick.

For Future me:

why are eggs so expensive? inflation bird flu corporate greed
Eggs are really expensive right now and nobody actually knows why.

Supposedly there is a bird flu, but like all the intangibles of the last few years, what kind of bird flu? Where, When, Who? Naaa’ man, bird flu. I invested in powdered eggs a long while back, last I knew my stock had raised from $20 to $70…. so let me go see…

Wow! I have two canisters too. Betting on egg shortages: BINGO

I own two containers, now do I sell them…. or sit on them longer and see if the price goes up? Hmmm, decisions to make. Well, this girl had EGG SHORTAGES on her bingo card by God.

I did not forsee the ‘gas stove ban’ — I grew up hearing about ‘clean burning preferred fuel of natural gas’ for thirty fucking years, the advertised it on tv like non-stop, and then last week the media is like, nope it’s a god damn death trap, we gotta ban it now. Science: Natural Gas is the cleanest best source of petroleum energy we have (for literally decades) Science: changes overnight to where Natural Gas is a horrible hazard. Remember, science never changes its mind once it decides something is safe.

I can’t with this time line.
