Had bad fatigue and brain fog set in for three days, so I’m back to:
- No Sugar
- A Shake, Coffee, Apple for Breakfast (about 250 calories)
- A Shake, Carrots and Hummus, Veg / Fruit (about 250 calories)
- Dinner (? calories, yesterday was home made organic curry over rice.)
- Before bed if I’m starving: eggs.
The result was my energy was back. I woke up a little sore in the lower back, a little nauseus and headache and went to Zwift around 5:30am. Met up with an excellent group ride, and put in 90 minutes. We had lively chatter and good team energy. At one point I was dropped, and a team member hung back and reeled me back in and I followed his wheel back into the Peleton. I suppose it’s 80% pretend for adults, but I greatly appreciated it and felt like part of the crew.
Then later I went out on the Torker to get my gyms back.
My Pokemon gyms, so I road, oh’ I don’t know, probably around 7 miles going out to the ocean for ‘South Jetty Gym’ and over to the Battery and back again. All in all that was another 90 minutes on the bike today. Then today was Pokemon Community Day so I went back out and caught Pokemon for awhile before taking a nap.
So its been a good week I reckon, but I didn’t get to the gym. The long run was arduous and I had gotten back into the habit of eating shit food, and I ate a lot of shit food. One day I had both Wendy’s and Dominoes on the same day and maybe worse some chocolate (chocolates often trigger migraines for me, but hell it’s f’n chocolate you know?)
I realized I would never be in control of my eating with my blood sugar swinging wildly making me ravenously hungry. I had to cut sugar and cut the amount I eat. I did so and felt much better.
Food for me, particularly sweets are rather a lot like alcohol is for some I suppose. Maybe socially acceptable but quite destructive. It leads down a dark path for me, and I feel amazing without it — although I always crave it.
Speaking of alcohol abuse, my neighbor — the hoarding one — tide one on I suppose because this morning he was vomiting LOUDLY outside and at one point my son said ‘shouting profanity.’ I’m not sure if shouting person was say as vomiting person as we couldn’t see them, just hear. Life in the trailer park. I need to win the lottery.
Until next time. Stay awesome.
