Beautiful weather, feeling better, a diet that works and I have had the legs to work out and nutrition plan to recover.

Diet is basically two low-calorie protein shakes per day, and all the fruit / veg I want during the day. Regular supper. It is very easy to stick to and so far I’ve lost 5lbs. Took my bike across the river and road the Discovery trail, around 8 miles. I tried the ol’ girl on the packed sand but it wasn’t having it. I gave her a good bath when we got back and oiled the chain and degreased her. There were a lot of shells of rock crabs on the beach, it turns out they molt. I didn’t realize that. This time in July is their second molt. I wore a sunshine jersey 🙂 Today was long-run day and I was at Iredale, not overcast today! It was bright and sunny. The Hoka shoes do poorly in the sand so the last part of the 3 mile run I just took them off and carried them. Running through the waves on the sand is just absolutely amazing. It has to b one of my favorite things ever and worth learning to run just to do that.

I’ve had to increase compression on the top and bottom, lol. You don’t want things to jiggle during a run or a ride or you end up hurting later.

I have a couple of kidney stones that sometimes take my breath away. Thus far….they stop, it’s just little zaps.

I haven’t missed a day in July.

Even during my migraine day I went on a long 2 mile walk.

I spent all of June sick. My oxygen saturation is still down after Covid (below 96%) and I still have the remains of a cough and coughing up little hard balls of phlegm, sorry gross. Looks like it’s the Omicron 5.2 variant or something very close to that. It has really made people very seriously sick, it put someone I know into the hospital and made another close friend very very ill.

anyway….

This is the summer workouts I have always dreamed of.
