In which I’m a real coward but take a chance on going to the park to run alone in the morning.
You know how when you do something for the first time you always have a fear that something embarrassing and horribly wrong is going to happen? I couldn’t figure out the bike rack. My bike tire in no way fit, it just was going to fall over. I ended up locking it up beside the rack not actually in it. Luckily no one was there this morning as it was early and about to rain.
From biking I went on to use the app LoLo Easy 5K which uses the Galloway run / walk method and seems to start out easy enough for even me right now. So I ran the mile and walked back to my bike.
A bird had taken a mighty big dump on my bike seat. It started to rain. Well, great. In my backpack, that fortunately didn’t get stolen, I had an old mask so I cleaned off my seat and the rain helped a bit.
I thought maybe if I road my bike the short jaunt to the park I wouldn’t get jumped by a wanted fugitive having had multiple close calls here in Oregon over the years and a really scary close call last year — fuck if I know what to do about that. I’m not going to over power or out run an amphetamine junkie. Geesh.
Anyway, I love how some girl in Astoria was explaining to everyone she could that the trick was, “just don’t make eye contact!” And anyone attacked just wasn’t following proper protocols….lol….uh’ it’s not a BEAR or whatever the fuck she has shit confused with. Oh My. Her parents need to explain shit to her before she goes missing.
But uh’ yeah a mile in. Been fighting fatigue a lot this month. I hope April will be better. (The fellow from last year is spending time in a cage.)
